Solo Rosso
Solo Rosso is a fruity cuvée for immediate and easy drinking. Of course you can store the wine in your cellar for up to five years, but do you really want to?
Next to Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch, the Pinot Noir plays an important role within this blend. This is the specialty of Solo Rosso since normally Pinot Noir grapes are not included in our cuvées. The various grapes for this wine grow on loamy gravel and mature in used Barrique-barrels for 12 months.
Current vintage 2009 is made up of:
50% Blaufränkisch
20% Zweigelt
20% St. Laurent
10% Pinot Noir
In the glass, the wine shows a dark purple colour.
On the nose it presents dark elderberries and red currants.
Solo Rosso 2009 tastes complex and opulent on the palate. The wine is juicy with a subtle acidity structure. You taste wild blackberries in the finish.
