We cultivate around 28 hectares of vineyards in Burgenland's
Seewinkel. In an intensive and close working dialogue with
nature, the climatic and soil conditions, it is our aim to
vinify individual wines of great character. They should reflect
the unique characteristics of the soil and come as close as
possible to our idea of perfect wines.
Our preference lies with the red wines - we have the regionally
typical varieties of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and St.
Laurent, but have also planted the "international"
varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Syrah.
With "Admiral," "Rêve de Jeunesse"
and "Mystique" we have cuvées that count
among the top qualities in not only Austria alone. A long
list of distinctions is impressive
proof of this achievement.
In previous years we have built up a superior range of noble
sweet "Prädikatswein" - from the Beerenauslese
to the Trockenbeerenauslese - and from white and red wine
varieties. In a region that is climatically and geographically
predestined for the growth of sweet wines, we have not wished
to ignore this challenge. |
