History

Since 1987 our striving for quality has been honoured, year for year, with distinctions. We see this as confirmation of our resolute course and a motivation not to lose sight of the perfect wine, even when we realise that this aim is unachievable.

A selection of distinctions from previous years:

  • Highest awarded wine estate in 1987
  • Regional winner in 1990
  • 1991 Falstaff Winner, 3rd Place with Admiral '89
  • 1993 Falstaff Winner, 2nd Place with Admiral '91
  • Gault Millau 3-grape distinction (for red wines) continuously since 1990 and also for sweet wines since 2000
  • The highest evaluated wine in the 1999/2000 Falstaff Wine Guide
  • Three times the best Austrian red-wine estate in the News magazine ranking
  • Red wine winner in Vinum magazine with Rosso é Nero '96 and the sweet wine winner with Scheurebe I TBA '96
  • Continuous 3-glass A la Carte distinction (for red wines)
  • René Pöckl was a Falstaff winner with the "Rêve de Jeunesse" in 1999
  • Wagner/Egle: the "best red-wine estate"
  • A la Carte: "winner of the Gourmet 2000 Trophy"
