With the 1997 vintage of this cuvée, René Pöckl,
the son of the house and winemaker since 1 January 2001, made
a great furore not only on the Austrian wine scene. The "Rêve"
cleaned up all that was to be had. Among other things, Falstaff
magazine voted it the Red Wine of the Year for both 1999 and
2001.
The Rêve de Jeunesse is produced in only especially
good years, and it continually and impressively proves the
talent of the young vintner, René Pöckl.

Barrels, extra dry, cask sample
Black colour, violet reflexes, ethereal reminiscence in the
bouquet, plumy fruit, ginger-biscuit, cinnamon, has polish,
sweet substance on the palate, much spicy reminiscence in
finish, finesse-rich finish, rusty nuances in aftertaste.
