Rosso e Nero

The diplomat

Rosso e Nero is Admiral's little brother. Despite being 'second', this wine has a distinct character and has demonstrated its strengths again and again by receiving various awards.

Because of the many different grape varieties included in this blend, Rosso e Nero grows on gravel, sand but also heavy clay. Before bottling, the wine matures in 50% new and 50% used Barrique-barrels for 18 months.

Rosso e Nero 2009

Vintage 2009 is composed of following grape varieties:
50% Zweigelt
30% Merlot
10% Blaufränkisch
10% Syrah

This wine catches your eye because of its intense colour: shiny dark ruby garnet with a violet touch. On the nose you recognise fine nougat as well as aromas of cherry-blackberry jam with a subtle touch of herbs. On the palate Rosso e Nero tastes juicy and of ripe plums. It's very charming with fine-grit tannins and an elevated palate with long, fruity finish.

Its time: 2011 - 2023

Its values:
Alcohol: 13.5% vol
Acidity: 5.4 g/l
Residual sugar: 1 g/l
