Blaufränkisch Classique
Blaufränkisch is relatively new in our range of wines - nevertheless it has proven to be a real Pöckl: Strong colour, lots of fruit and distinctive tannins. You can drink it immediately or store it for up to five years.
Our Blaufränkisch-grapes love heavy loam soils. After the harvest they stay in used Barrique-barrels for eight months.
This wine shows a powerful ruby garnet colour with violet highlights. On the nose it reminds of black currant and blackberries. On the palate you will notice a subtle impression of sweetness, cherry flavours and huckleberries. The wine is very elegant with beautiful, rounded tannins. You will taste dark cherries in retro-olfaction.
Its time: 2008 - 2015
Serve this wine when you are having steaks, veal-schnitzel or dishes flavoured with chili. You can also try it with hard cheese, like Emmentaler, Grana or Parmesan.
