The 1999 vintage was a very good year. Following medium precipitation
in spring, and still at the beginning of summer, a beautiful
but not too hot summer (must readings not over 32°). The
autumn was very beautiful, with no significant precipitation,
which was very important for the maturing of the late varieties
Wine description
dark ruby garnet, violet-black core, fine mint, After Eight,
heart cherries with air in the bouquet, severe tannin on the
palate, a firm core, a wine with a great future potential,
it would be a shame to open this cuvée too early. Two
to three years to the first highpoint. (Description in Falstaff
2001/02 - Peter Moser)
